….that’s the title of my new piece over on Huffington Post. I interviewed a group of lovely authors – all of whom I have met through social networking sites – and asked them how and why they use Facebook and Twitter. Here’s a little snippet to lure you over there:

“…the days when authors tapped in the last word of their manuscript, sent it to their editors, and then sat back and waited for the royalties to roll in are well and truly over. And it’s not simply that promotional responsibilities are increasingly being shouldered by authors (even “big time” ones like Jennifer Weiner), a new kind of promotional strategy is emerging, one where authors are getting online and personal.”
